Exactly! It's not like it is Street Prepared or anything....Maybe...

Too bad that last 10% on a 50 second course is 5 seconds, sounds like DFL J/k!

I haven't really turned a wheel in anger in the STU M3 but it sure looks like a blast...If I can ever learn how to autocross on street tires, I can count on one hand the number of times I have NOT been on Hoosiers.

The last time with the Mustang was rather hilarious (especially with the stock suspension). You sure handled it pretty well though, I didn't think that car could move like that (while almost tipping over).

That was the worst thing I had ever felt inside a car. One of the owners of AST was there after he saw the car run he said "We'll put a rush on your suspension."

No I'm pretty sure you have to be an SCCA member to run a tour. A few years ago the turnout was really low for the tour at the bus lot and they waived that requirement but I doubt that will happen this time.

Non-members can compete in any National Solo event with a SCCA "weekend membership" except at Nationals.

I've got a note in to the National Office asking what the procedure is for registering with a weekend membership for a National Tour.

I'm pretty sure the only additional cost is $15 for the weekend membership.

I'll post something as soon as I have info concerning this.

My co-driver will not be available for this event, so I have an STS Miata co-drive open for a reasonable tire fee. PM me or email me at jrj512 at dfwmx5 dot com if you are interested.

    On the non-member entry info:

You can enter the event as a non-member using the FAX option for registration (Do it before Friday the 12th - 4pm before the entry fee goes up!). But you will have to pay for a "Weekend Membership" at the event on Friday March 26th.

    For all you procrastinators:

Make sure you enter the event before 4pm this Friday, March 12th!!

After the above date/time, the entry fees go up to $130!! If you do miss the above date/time you can still enter online all the way up to Monday, March 22nd.

After March 22nd you'll have to enter the event at the site Friday, March 26th between 5-7pm.

No additional registrations will be taken after 7pm on Friday the 26th!

    Thumbs up

A handful of us setup the National Tour courses yesterday in Mineral Wells.

All I can say is.... bring a full tank of gas!

The course is over 1 mile long. (take a survival pack, gps & extra water for your course walk! )

Onething broke his car he was having so much fun testing the course!

BTW, before you go crazy & start ranting, he's not running the Tour. -No unfair advantage on his part.

Hope everyone entered before last Friday @ 4pm!!

Looks like we got a big field of out of state competitors.
