Thread: Dealer?

    Default Dealer?

I think someone on this site has a dealer license and attends the auctions. If so please contact me. I am looking for a BMW 325i or 328i for my son.
    M3 is always the answer.

That would be RFC but you have to drive to MSR to look at his cars since he's too busy to bother actually selling you a car.

Yeah, because all other car saleman I know bring the car to you. In fact, I have never been to a dealership in my life because they always bring the car to me.

What planet do you live on, man? Sheesh.

Most other dealerships aren't in BFE and only open when most normal people are at work during the week either (10AM to 4PM).

I wouldn't exactly call his setup a "dealership" in the traditional sense (Yahoo email address, no financing options, no warranty options, no in house service etc...) more like someone that flips cars with a dealers license. In fact he is the only employee according to his site which also mentions he's usually willing to meet outside regular hours, which wasn't exactly the case. He flat out told me he didn't want to bother taking 1 hour of his time showing the car for a few hundred bucks profit. I don't know about you but I don't make $200 bucks an hour. Why even buy a car if you can only make a few hundred bucks profit to begin with?

Whatever, that was just my personal experience which happened to be poor IMO. I will end up voting with my money, everyone else should as well.

"Since I am the only employee, I ask that you call ahead for an appointment since I have to leave on dealer related business frequently. If you call, I can often meet you beyond my normal business hours (except Sunday). I answer my phone from 8:00am to 9:pm central 7 days a week."

davidss I think might have one as well.

Lexus, BMW, Infiniti, Audi and Cadillac also will bring you a car to test drive.

That said, I met up with RFC on a Saturday to look at a car without a problem. Sure the drive sucked, but the price was right and the car was right too, I just didn't make a decision so arturo bought it (and flipped it).

Consider the context of the post, kids. We are talking about a used Miata.

You might be thinking of another member who used to take members to the auction. He didn't renew his license since it was a sideline.

I do as someone mentioned (flattery will get you no where). I have helped a couple of others by letting them see auction prices for various models.

Just be forewarned that the prices you see may be more than you expected. Auction prices are not necessarily that great plus you have the risk of buying with little to no pre-inspection.

Depending on what year you are looking for, Adesa has a fairly large BMW sale every month. Usually 1 to 5 year old cars + BMW finance has a list of buy-it-now cars in the dallas area.

Otherwise 3 series BMWs are fairly common at the major auctions around town but you need to see where they come from, do some due diligence.

There are a few other details/fees involved at auctions as well. If you are interested, give me a call 817-396-0989 and we can walk through a few model/years on the phone. Since I only work 10-4, I should have plenty of time :).

    Ken,

You might try calling this guy. I work with his daughter. His name is John Nicholson 972-768-8086. His daughter said he has access to all the wholesale auctions and can find you just about anything you want.

    Good luck!

Things I don't understand such as the process of buying a vehicle? I posted a thread on the pointy board which had nothing to do with that car, the seller made an unsolicited post saying it was available. When I inquired as to viewing the vehicle during a time that I was available (basically outside normal working hours) I was basically told it wasn't worth the profit for the time involved. I posted my opinion about my personal experience, nothing more nothing less so if you don't like it you can move on.
