Ford Escape
Any other Ford Escape owners out there? If so, what has your experience been with it? I just picked up a used 03 XLT for daughter 01 and I give it! Ford used a Mazda 626 for the base of what would be the Escape and Mazda Tribute. With a 3.0L V6 and FWD it can get up and go, 20mpg on her first tank. It sits high enough to see where you're going, but you don't need a ladder to get in like my F250.
I have an '03 Tribute that just passed 100K miles. Never even took it back to the dealer! The only problem we had was a noisey fuel pump a couple years ago. I put in a new fuel filter and solved that problem. The wife drives it , but soon it will become my DD when we buy her a new car.

My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.
New fuel filter is on my list since this just turned 100K as well. Unfortunately, no history came with this one so I just treat it as though no scheduled maintenance was done.
