In for updates on part-out. Might be interested in a few interior bits as well. Mainly the complete dash (minus gauges and electronics but including glove box, under-column, etc).

How much for the seats? Each or as a pair? If you are willing to sell them without the rest of the carpet / mirrors / etc, that is.

Hey, heard this car moved somewhere else, I'm interested in the front bumper cover when it comes back up.
However, I'd maybe need to arrange shipping. I've got a friend in Fort Worth that could do it for me though, so the seller doesn't have to...
Yeah, Cobalt sold the car whole (local I believe). To my understanding the parts are gonna be used in a NA model. I'm sure the body parts and stuff will probably pop up soon though.

I bought it whole. Thinking of doing a swap into a low mile NA tub with title if I can find one. The other option is putting it back together. We installed new A-arms and the car lines up straight. I already have the fender, hood and door that it needs off another titanium MSM press car that was given to my partner by Mazda a long time ago. Regardless it is a salvage title so the economics need to work.
I do think an NA MSM would be pretty cool.
An NA msm IS pretty cool. Don't forget if you go Pre OBD-II, that allows you the use of the FM Link, and a million other easier ecu options, vs. the OBD-II issues with the ECU.
You should drop by Mazda-speed.com and look for a fella named 95MSM. I don't think there is a more complete MSM-->NA swap out there. From the engine, torsen, braces, to the instrument cluster, its pretty much all there.
And, if you do end up parting it, I'm in for at least the Front bumper/Drivers fender. I'd probably also be down for the the headlights, and I sort of want a spare set of A-arms to box, so I can then just swap them out for my current units...
That's all considering you do part it out and can work with me. I've seriously been trying to find a Ti bumper for over a year. No luck anywhere.
Pretty surprising they've come accrost two MSM wrecks in such short order. Not really that common anymore, from what I gather. I have only dealt with the few large Miata-specific recyclers in looking for parts, but in the upper Midwest there might be about a dozen of these cars at best, hah.
Either way, good luck with whatever you do, getting that motor capable of 230-250hp is not all that difficult, and even in the heavier NB chassis its a real hoot to kick around in.
Btw, if anything comes up, its likely best to contact me at [email protected], I'm checking it daily. Regards,
Nick

That'd be him. He's quite highly knowledgeable with automobiles, obvious enough from what he pulled off there. On top of the swap, he had a set of intake pipes made up so that he could re-clock the turbo and shorten the intake tract a great deal. This and his exhaust plumbing makes his car pretty quick I'd figure. I forget what numbers he's posting, but I think its in the 240whp area these days, no methanol, pump gas..
Best ask him to find out for yourself though, he's still active. I think I'll stop cluttering your guys' for sale section now, my apologies!
The two cars were given to MER after the press had their way with them. They could not be titled or registered so they took the bodies off and used the parts.
Right now it looks like the car will live again as a 2004, albeit salvage, MSM. There is a small amount of unibody damage that we will patch. Then you will see it for sale pretty cheap if everything goes as planned, and it never does.
Well, you had my hopes up for a minute there! MER apparently gave the front bumper to a local bodyshop recently, so I missed out on it. Bummer. Maybe that was you guys? Thought the front bumper was in good condition though on your car.
Well, good luck with the rebuild, hope it comes out ok. Sure are fun little cars.
