    Default BigD is back

A few people may remember me from many moons ago. I should be back in the world of miata ownership again very very soon. If all goes as planned I'll have a slightly nice triple black miata again.

Havent really gone anywhere, just dropped off miata forums for a bit after I sold the old miata. Since I finally am getting a new(ish) miata I figured I would drop in say hello. Look forward to seeing everyone again. Now the question of running CS or CSP...probably just start in CSP cause I know I won't leave well enough alone. :)

I am sure that Mark52 would love to have another CSP car to play with this Saturday at the NTAXS event.

I do not think we've met, but welcome back, anyhow.

Doubt I'll be able to make the AX's this weekend, but I'm sure I would enjoy giving Mark another go...I've gone against him at many ER events back when I had my '97. I should have the power advantage this time, if only the stock sport suspension will be up for it.

    Welcome back stranger!

You don't want to play in CS with an NB these days. The rules have changed as of this year....last years BS cars are now CS.

And they're all going to get stomped by the MS-R, imho.

You should look into STR, Dallas. I think it would be right up your alley. Most of the typical bolt-ons (intake, header, exhaust, coilovers, swaybars, seats, etc.) are allowed, but the class runs on 140-treadwear street tires and requires that you retain a catalytic converter.

Gonna have to read up on all the rules and changes, but at first glance my miata won't be eligable for STR even stock =/ Have a feeling that I'm gonna need to start budgeting for more tires if I start doing any AX with this one. First things first though, getting me a rollbar from TDR, wife is supposed to be ordering it for our anniversary! (yeah, I have a wonderful wife) =)

Chris, I'm up to 2 kids myself. Ari is 6 and Riley is 1. Hope you and your family have been doing well. =)

Any NA with a 1.8L and factory LSD plus all the NBs ('cept the Mazdaspeed) are eligible for STR.

If it's a mazdaspeed you're bumped to BSP.

Well, I am now officially a miata owner again. I now have my '05 Black Mica MSM with GT package. I haven't gotten any photos of my own yet, but here is the pictures from Carmax.

Didnt have a personal vehicle, I had sold my ZX3 to mom when i started commuting to downtown a year and half ago (2 months before i got layed off). Now that I'm gainfully employed again it was time to get a new ride. :)
