Yeah, that kid is on the miatamob forum (my only other Miata forum). He seems to be proud of that maneuver, even after we all pointed out it wasn't even a normal-height truck.

So I have this friend who tells this story...

I was pulling a pole trailer one sunny spring afternoon. I hate doing so, because every 17 year old jackass sees the opportunity to drive under my load. I saw said jackass in my right side mirrors working up the nerve. I glanced back up and saw a vehicle slowing in my lane (probably to touch up her eye make-up), so i hit the left blinker, checked the blind spots, and moved over to the left. Moments later the trailer shuddered violently.

My colleague who had been following me explained why... Apparently the 17 year old jackass had gotten up the nerve at the exact moment I started moving left. So he pulled under the load and had planned to keep on going out the other side. But there was no other side as we pulled on over to the Jersey barrier. At which point, he did what all 17 year old jackasses do when they run out of plan. He hit the brakes. For what it's worth, Ford Contours apparently have a decent roof support structure, as we were able (with some persuasive equipment) to open the door and let the poor dumb bastard out of what used to be his mom's car...

It's a shame that his untimely (or timely?) death will cause a traffic jam and cause the rest of us to be late for something. Plus, the goods on the truck might spoil.

With you in it?? One more reason why I like to drive my own car most times unless it's someone I really trust like my dad. He's probably the only one who can drive and I can sleep at the same time. If I die in a car crash I want it to be my fault lol.
