Thread: Totaled 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5

  1. #1

    Default Totaled 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5

    $7500 OBO for everything.

If major subassemblies are desired, that may be arranged provided I sell enough of them to cover the salvage value, tools to part it out, and storage fees. If you are interested in a large subset of parts I will discount.

    Assembly Prices:

Engine/ECU/Harness/Stock Intake Tract/Exhaust Tract through Midpipe (Full conversion; should be emissions legal) - $4,000
    Transmission (Mazdaspeed 6-Speed) - $600
Axles/Differential/Driveshafts/Subframe (Note: These parts are interdependant) - $600 - Sold
Top (Perfect condition canvas) - $300 - Sold
Full Interior (Leather, including all Mazdaspeed specific parts, e.g. Mirror) - $900
Rear Exhaust Section (Mazdaspeed catalog item) - $100
    Bilstein Dampers/Mazdaspeed Springs - $500
    Mazdaspeed Swaybars/Bushings - $100
Headlights (Internally blacked out) - $600
Front Bumper Cover (Includes Mazdaspeed trim, fog lights; 2" non-structural tear that is nearly invisible) - $400
    Rear Bumper Cover - $300
Trunk (Includes Mazdaspeed spoiler) - $400
    Hood - $300
    Passenger Front Fender - $200
    Passenger Mirror - $100
    WedsSport TC-105N Wheels (3 Perfect/1 Broken) with Kumho XS 205/50-15 Tires (4 with 3,000 Miles) - $800

That listed, I would prefer to sell it as a whole.

Odometer shows ~42,000 Miles. Damage caused by sliding into a lightpole at ~25MPH.

    Aftermarket parts:
    FM Full Intake - $450 - Sold
    WedsSport TC-105N Wheels (3)
FM Downpipe (NIB) - the stock Downpipe is currently installed - $300

Damage is limited to LF Fender, LF Suspension, L Door, Windshield, A-Pillar (cosmetic), Tear in Unibody under driver footbox (repairable).

Total estimate for factory style repair (replace with factory unibody panels) was ~$7500 + 100 Hours labor. Estimate for workable repair (sheetmetal patching) was ~$2000 and 25 Hours. I have the quote and will include a copy if you like.

My suggestion is to take everything and throw it in a good NA (or NB) body. Everything involved in the switch is PERFECT. Interior is not worn, car runs perfectly, top is 100%, etc. This is the GT Package, so it has a Leather Interior (black with red stitching) and the Canvas Top (black).

If this is used for an NA switch, the unique Front Bumper, Spoiler, Rear Bumper, and Headlights will probably fetch a reasonable price.

It is currently in a friends garage, but can be shown at any time. It is located in N. Fort Worth. Transport can be arranged as part of the sale.

Please contact me @ 559-940-1943 if you are interested.

I do not have the ability to part this out currently, or would do that.

FM DP I will let go for $300. It really is NiB, you save $35 plus shipping.

Intake for $450. This is the version with the newer o2 mod. I have all NEW lines and hoses for this setup, no cutting of your stock stuff required (it will be if you order from FM).

I also have the FM Boost Gauge that I will throw in (with the requisite lines and fittings) for $50. I have an unused single A-Pillar mount that will be included.

The FM stuff I will part immediately. The rest I am holding off until I am able to sell the engine. The reason being that I will have a much easier time selling the car whole if I don't have a bunch of cosmetic stuff off of it. For those that have PM'd me or posted, you will be first to get a call on those parts.

If you know anyone who might want the engine, PLEASE let me know. I would much rather this all go to good homes than to eBay...

Oh, and these prices ARE OBO. I trust you guys to give me reasonable valuations. Most of those prices were off the hip

As above, I will not be piece-parting the car until I have the big stuff sold.

If it has to go on eBay, it goes whole.
