    hey Jerrett

after you mount your new Dunlops how about weighing them at the USPS and/or UPS

Shaved to 4/32” Toyo R1R mounted on Enki RPF1 would be 27.23.

Shaved to 4/32” Hankook R3S mounted on Rota Slipstreams weigh 33.2, or 4.97 more

    a lot

I have a scale that I can use here. I'll bring a wheel in tomorrow.

I read the Hankook thread. It looks like everyone is running to the other side of the ship, now. Poor Toyo -- life on top is fleeting.

which Generation are they? the newer gens say "6UL" on the face somewhere, the first gen didn't

I have some of the Gen 3 7.5s on order, but they continually push the delivery date back

They have 6UL on them, and they were from 949. Maybe they are second gen? Maybe the web site had not been updated saying they were in? I don't know. The air valves were said to be back orderd on the website but they came in also. I'm just glad they showed up. I'll post a pick later, late for work now

195/50 Star Specs shaved to 5/32 on 7.5 Sliptreams filled to ~42 PSI (I overfill prior to events and adjust before first run), it came to 29.9 on the Fedex scale.

195/50 R1Rs shaved to 3/32 on 7.5 Sliptreams filled to ~40 PSI came to 30.75 on the Fedex scale.

The Dunlop that I pulled off of the wheels weighed 15.40, so it looks like the wheels weigh about 14.5 lbs. Yikes! I really need to get some RPF1s.

4/32" shave Toyos on RFP1 wheels were 27.23or 3.5 lbs less than on your Rotas

the RFP1 on USPS scales are 9.625#

the 7.5" 949 wheels at supposedly 12.1# that were going to be available in mid-July are now November, if that happens then

Steve E pointed out that a 12 week delay would be Nov 2008

    so forget anything Emilio says

RPF1s are the way to go for 7", still looking for something reasonable in 7.5"
