Stupid camera

That recent post about SD cards reminded me to ask a question. Our video camera takes SD cards or did until a few weeks ago but now it just says CARD ERROR no matter which card I put in. So after 28 seconds of thoughtful troubleshooting I think the problem must be in the card slot. Not interested in spending any real money on repair since replacements aren't very expensive.

Is there some sort of contact cleaner I could spray in there to make it work again?

Are you using SDHC cards? Some of the cameras don't know what to do with anything over 2gb. My Palm Centro only shows 3.7gb on an 8gb card.

Yes, only regular old SD cards. I tried every one on hand, ranging from 2 GB down to 8 MB (IIRC it might hold a 10 sec video). Never had this issue before and suddenly it affected every card so I'm looking at the camera. Where would I find IPA? Assuming you don't mean the beer.

Geez I should have googled that before posting. I'm sure we have some isopropyl alcohol, even Q-tips at home.
