Default RX7 Air Flow Meteron NA Miata

Has anyone switched to the bolt-on larger 86-88 RX7 flowmeter on your 1.6 Miata. I'm interested in how you adapted it to the air filter box since it has a larger 2" x 2.5" opening.
I posted this in the FI section by mistake, My 1.6 NA is normally asperated.

If it doesn't have the right "fun to crap ratio", why do it?

I made an adapter for mine and ran a k&n filter. You might be able to get an adapter at autozone/orielly's/pepboys. You need to put a wideband on it, it was pretty close on my 1.6 but on a friends it was a little too lean to be safe. You have crude adjustment with the spring tension on the flapper.
