Thread: Data logging software other than MAXQ?

Default Data logging software other than MAXQ?

Well, I got hooked on the idea of data to improve my autox skills, just in time to find out that MaxQ Data appears to have gone MIA. Are there any other software packages that will accomplish similar things with a G-Rays I GPS receiver, since I already bought one? Can't invest hundreds of $$ in this, but I have the netbook and GPS receiver, just need some software. Or is anyone interested in selling their MaxQ unlock code, if that's possible.

MaxQ is MIA? Have you tried contacting them?

I got a response within 24hrs last week from Scott there. They are behind on parts but there.

OK, I'll try again. I've emailed twice with no response, and no one answers the phone.

So weird. I had heard they had closed their doors... then they responded right away to my email so I figured it was just internet BS. Hit or miss it seems. If you've already had trouble getting a hold of them might be worth looking else where since you may have issues getting tech support. No advice on where to look or what to get.... I've looked around and come up empty on a good solution.

You might check out RaceChrono. It definitely has some shortcomings, but is pretty remarkable for the price (free).

I didn't realize they had a PC version or standalone version of race chrono... pretty cool

I did finally get an email reply from MaxQ, so it appears they are still around, just slow.

Thanks for showing me it today. I'm looking forward to using it now.

Got my unlock code from MaxQ. Conclusion: if MaxQ software will suffice for your needs, and you aren't in a huge hurry, they seem to be a good option. I'm pleased with my software, and it was priced right, as was the GPS receiver from amazon.com. I cannot comment on their hardware, as I've heard about significant delays on that end, but have no personal experience.
