    Default Abandoned bridge, Arlington TX.

The bridge is behind all this stuff...

    Warning sign...

    The bridge...

10-30-1902...I honestly don't think this bridge is that old. I think someone is pulling our leg here. Actually, if you look closely, I think it's 1962.

Bridge, standing on the west end looking east.

    "Don't fall!"

    Trinity River

    "Don't come after dark!"

    "Beware!"

Cool pics. I think you're right about 62 instead of 02. Can you get a car in there or is it barricaded both sides?

Is this at River Legacy Park? Looks familiar.

Yeah, it's River Legacy. You can't get a car in there. You can only walk, and it's a pretty long walk too.

You used to be able to get back there on a mountain bike...it's on the far northwest side of the park near the river bottoms.

Isn't that also known as screaming bridge??

Back in the olden days (in the '80's) you could drive back to screaming bridge been there a time or two but don't be there at midnight!

It's not the real one. I know where the real one is.

It would be fun, but there's really no where to park. Actually, there is plenty of room. One is a natural gas well on the north side...you could probably fit 4 or 5 Miatas there. The other is a construction site on the south side, about a quarter mile away. You could fit more cars there. The only reason why I think there is a problem is because we would probably be having the police on to us if we parked at either end.

Could we park at the regular parking and make it a "hike" to the bridge?

If you want to go to the real one, that would be one hell of a hike. I'll take a look on Google Earth when I get home.

But the fake screaming bridge (the one that I took pictures of), that's about a 1.5 mile hike round trip.

Here is the real one. It is the concrete bridge running across the small stream just below the railroad tracks. I zoomed out and couldn't find any place that we could park and walk.
