"I got reprimanded at work...

...for a typo.

Background - I had been dealing via email with a large client company's network admins, who had been experiencing a multitude of technical issues with one of our products. I had been explaining to them for a week and a half that it's actually a misconfiguration on their side and was not something I/we could fix. I was 100% right. In fact, I went out on a limb and pointed out exactly where the problem was and how to fix it...still they blamed me, blamed the product...when suddenly, I guess in an act of pure desperation, they did what I had suggested and -voila- The issue is fixed.
I was asked to email a "post-mortem" of what transpired to their supervisor.
My last sentence of that email:

"In the end, your technical team had followed an earlier suggestion from us which resolved the issue. Had they attempted the suggested fix earlier within the time frame of our troubleshooting, the content would not have been lost.

Retards,"

Yes, "retards" and not "regards"..
I inadvertantly called a pair of network admins "retards" to their supervisor causing him to write my supervisor...

I should be mad but I'm laughing too hard."
