Great event yesterday. Car felt great with the new hi-flow cat. Much more powerful, which makes me wonder how long the old one had been failing. Too bad I couldn't stay off the cones and capitalize on the newfound speed.
Sorry to see the mechanicals, glad those involved made it home safely. Hope to see you guys at the next one - but can we dial the heat down a bit? I think I almost passed out putting the car back together during third heat.

Haha
...and none of the mod cars broke Sunday! The mod car drivers will no longer stand for the broken racecar jokes!
FWIW one day while washing the RX-7 I noticed a crack on a factory wheel. Granted the initial batch were known for doing it and the wheel was about 15 years old at the time but it was one of the wheels I only used on the street (I must drive hard?). I placed the wheel in my hydraulic press to ensure complete and obvious destruction. It's now a hose reel.

A little hot, but definitely a fun event. Thank you very much Altiain for letting me drive your car! It's a blast to drive and has especially amazing brakes. If I can ever return the favor please let me know.
My fastest run.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

/\ +1 Wow Doug... very good looking run indeed!
I use to worry about money; but then realized I don't HAVE anything to worry about.
You two are too kind. Thank you.

very smooth, doug. I like the line you took through the two big turns in the around the second slalom.

I still blame grid for sending the starter (aka me) the defective Miata.![]()
Wow, what a fun event, other than the 100+ degree heat and 2 1/2 hour heat. At least everyone was okay. Nothing like seeing a wheel go a-rollin like that.
First off here are some photo's that my wife took from the 3rd heat. It was too hot for her to come out early and shoot. So if you were running in another heat and were wanting some photo's, I'm sorry. Blame the 100+ degree heat.

Let's see, the first video is from my first run. I would have had more video's of faster runs but my camera decided to stop working. Blame the heat...
The second video here is of my last, and quickest, run. Shot with the same camera as the photos. Cannon 7D. At least the heat didn't kill it...
Brandon's first run of the day...
Great job driving everyone!
See you all out there at the next event, hopefully well hydrated!
