I've run this class since the first year it was a supplemental. First heat forever gets really old but since it is going to rain this year its not as bad. At least we're on the west course on Tuesday so the flooding will be minimal.

How the hell do you think I'll feel in a DM car? LOL I've never driven it on rain tires before...nats will be the 1st time LOL. And I've only driven it in a monsoon on slicks once as well.

Rain is the great equalizer. Kind of like running NASCAR at Laguna Seca.

I have no rain tires. If rain is in the forcast, then I might have to make a last-minute tire order.

    It's just money!

Sounds like the Toyo is the best tire for the wet.... maybe.

Now if Toyo just made a size for my wheel!

I planned to just replace the tires on my street wheels (not the street tires I use for competition) with some unshaved Star Specs. I cannot afford to have a set of R1Rs and wheels specifically for rain. My street tires (RE-O1Rs from close-out) are almost down to the wear bars, and Star Specs make for good street tires. I would rather wait until the RE-O1Rs are fully worn, though.
