Default NA rear tag surround or finish pane

anyone have a part number for the plastic panel that surrounds the license tag and goes to the tail lights on each side?

MazdaSpeed catalog looks like NA01-5U-850G to me, but when I plug that into the system it bombs, and if I add the paint code it still bombs

It's called a Rear Body Finish Panel. The part number I found is NA0150850HDU (this is for a 91), hope that helps.

They are hard to come by used. especially still intact. It's one of those parts that get very brittle with age and it's very hard to remove an old one without cracking it.

how repairable are they using good glue?

mine is now cracked at the lower left corner of the tag area, and will fit back together with a small gap

Get JB Weld, it comes with two tubes. One tube is the glue, the other the activator. It will work to glue pieces together and can also be used to fill small cracks. It's sandable and paintable. I think most hardware stores sell it.

Start over like Sammm says the part doesn't age well and it wants to turn back to powder at the first opportunity.

I think the 94+ cars used a different plastic than the 90-93 did which some claim to be more durable. I'm sure Rogue knows Paging Mr. Rogue Mr. Rogue please pick up the white courtesy phone.

    I recommend a new one.

Why spend half of a new one on one that may look like a broken beer bottle, before you get it on.
Either one would have to be painted.

I repaired one with gorilla glue, then put foil tape on the back to hold the joint tight till it set. Worked great, but agree that its a fragile part that would not be worth repainting.
