That's why I said he might be surprised. He very well might not.

The only direct comparison I know of is a 35 year old guy in NJ. He had a '95 (IIRC) and went to an MSM. With the jump to the newer car, he had to pay about $1200 more a year for insurance. He had liens on both cars, so he had to have full coverage on both. I can see it being a bigger difference for a 19 year old kid...but I can also see it not being a difference at all since it is just a Miata.

Bob is a good guy, I've read about plenty honest sales he has had with customer's. He's fair too. I just wish I had his knack for finding these low mileage cars.

thanks for all the replies guys! I feel welcomed already!!

for insurance purposes my jetta is around $200 a month and i have paid my own insurance and my parents don't help me with anything car related, haha.
i was quoted for insurance on a 05 mazdaspeed 6 months ago and full coverage 500 dollar collision deductable was 140 a month. very reasonable to me.

I would enjoy a high power car but i dont know how much of a change of driving experience the big power would be as far as in town driving. im sure i would enjoy it though :p.

for power reasons if im going to add a intake and such in the car it would just be smarter to do a FMII kit but yall all have a good point i could buy a Non turbo miata and go from there for around the same price and save money in the long run. i would also like not having a car payment anymore that would be convienent. the car will be my daily driver so i need something that will not break down so all the good stuff will have to be used for sure. i dont cut corners when i do work on my car. im just happy to know there are miata nuts that are the area around me!
