Thread: Super TCB front plate side-mount bracket

Default Super TCB front plate side-mount bracket

Finally picked up an OEM front plate bracket today - thanks, Simon! Once I got home, I bent it back straight and cut off one of the bumper-mount legs (the driver's side leg). Then I used some leftover Grade 8 roll bar hardware and fastened it to the driver's side baby tooth. I tightened the absolute bejeezus out of it to the point where the flat washer is now bent and acts as a key to keep the assembly from twisting. Finally, I had to run to O'Reilly's and pick up some stainless license plate nuts & bolts - bringing my Grand Total investment to a whopping $2.29 + tax. If I feel real ambitious tomorrow, I'll take it back off, clean it up, and shoot it with some paint to keep the bare metal bits from rusting.

It was too dark to take a decent picture of the mounting point, but here's how it looks on the car. I must say, I'm pretty pleased...

For comparison... from many moons ago. God that's an old picture...

Nice work and no interference to the airflow. I need to come up with something similar; especially after TWO TXDOT warnings.

Front plates are the devil but you did a good job of dancing with the devil.

Exactly what I did to mount my front plate. Hasn't moved at all in over 2 years! I even bent mine to follow the curve of the front of the car.
