I don't know how they run this event but usually only experienced (advanced at that) people can have a passenger...

Last time I went (2 years ago), I had an instructor for 2 times out then after that I was allowed to have a passenger.

I guess The Drivers Edge just does it differently then. Good to know, thanks Matt.

I wouldn't count on being able to have passengers if you're solo approved. If you invite friends tell them you probably won't be able to give them rides but instructors can if available.

I guess in my foolish way, that is what I was asking for .. the instructor/experienced person. :)

Ah, well I'm a novice but I have no problem giving you a ride LOL.

Who knows, it might have changed since then.

IMHO, it is never a good idea for students to have non-instructor passengers on the track with them. I've seen too many instances where this has led to incidents. Most organizations do not allow this, and I would strongly encourage you to ride with an instructor instead.

I'm still waiting for a reply Be a lot easier if they had a link to register to and go from there.
I use to worry about money; but then realized I don't HAVE anything to worry about.

I got an e-mail from Maggie confirming.
I informed her that I was a n00b and that I'd respectfully request the assistance of an Instructor.
    We'll see what happens next.

Cash in person. No credit card. Bring a toy (nice one) and canned good too.

From ECR Website - $50 (please bring cash, as this will be directly donated to our local organization), plus 1 canned good and a new unwrapped toy.
