Don't forget as well that cars and motorcycles were running on the same days last year. This year, there will be no motorcycles sessions on the day alotted for cars.

That's true. I remember when I went that motorcycles took up a good portion of the time.

Sent an email regarding attending the event but have yet to hear back. I also asked for a current count of attendees. Hopefully I'll hear back soon.

150 drivers, 30 drivers per group, 5 run groups, 25 minutes sessions, 3 sessions for the day per group is my guess. Should not be bad unless ego puts himself in a higher run group.
M3 is always the answer.
I just talked to Maggie. She said they have not yet decided on how they are going to set up the run groups. There will be the usual novice, intermediate and advanced groups. If you have not been to the track before you will be in the novice group for obvious reasons. They may wait until 12-4 to set the run groups until they see who actually shows up. Remember, it is a charity event!

I'm sure if you are in the higher groups (intermediate or advanced) you can run flat out no problem, but I bet with the novice group the main focus will be safety. The only problem is there won't be nearly enough instructors to ride in every car going out there. I could technically run advanced since I have 2 track days and an autocross under my belt but I'd rather run novice without an instructor.

12-pages...um...how many run groups? If there's 4 I'll go but it looks like it will be a cluster. I want to be sure I can run flat out, preferably flat out enough to get my throttle to stick open on the back-stretch.

Remember this is a charity event. Go out, have fun and a good attitude and leave the competitive attitude at home for once. Don't expect this to be a full on HPDE. I'm going since I've never driven ECR and to help some kids have a good Christmas. If you want to test your limits save it for a true track day.
