    Default Thought i'd finally Join.

Hello, my name is Joseph. I've met a few of you at Auto-x and Timetrial events. I figure i'm on here enough checking schedules I may as well join.

About me, I'm currently attending TCU for a BS in Economics, and I really like impractical toyota's.

The MR2 Spyder, fun race car since it's not really class competitive in SCCA.
    Mods:
2ZZ-GE and 6-Speed from Celica GTS (using 01 GTS ECU).
ACT 6-puck spring clutch with heavy duty pressure plate.
    MonkeyWrenchRacing Chromoly Steel Flywheel.
Speedsource Brass shifter bushings, Polyurethane Motor mounts, and braided steel clutch lines.
PPE Engineering 4-1 header and hi-flow cat. PPE CAI. Custom catback using two vibrant racing resonators.
OMP Ronco GT seat on Sparco/Wedge brackets and sliders, I have a second seat for the passenger side, just waiting on wedge to make and ship the bracket.
Schroth Profi II harness with ASM.
3.0 Racing Midship Member Brace and Front Strut Tower bar.
K-Sports 5k front 7k rear. Have some new stiffer springs from Tanabe in the mail... but the shocks still blow.
15x8 et 20 TR Motorsport wheels, 225/45/15 R-S3s all around
    Toyota Team Europe front bumper
Seibon CF Hood. VIS CF Wing (saving for an APR)
    Gutted.
    Lots of tacky stickers.

The daily driver is a second gen MR2 Turbo.
    Gen 2 3S-GTE
HKS Dual Drager catback with Topspeed Downpipe
    Apex'i Power Grabber intake
    Greddy sidemount intercooler
    Tein Coilovers
    Some nifty audio stuff
    WORK VS-Editions 17x8 F 17x9 R.
    TRD short shifter and motormounts
    Stainless steel break lines
    Tein Coilovers
    ThePerformanceDivision.com Stainless steel break lines.

Also, I feel like I should explain. On the Spyder, I got the window banner after the 5th time in a month the sun visors fell on me while I was driving after the screws rattled out from the poly mounts. The wing came as a result of being annoyingly unstable at the TTT events. After that I just decided to have fun with it and try to cover the rear decklid in decals. Once it's completely covered i'm gonna mount it on the wall and get a carbon one lol.

Anyways. I'll be at the NTAXS event on the 21st, see y'all there.

Welcome, Joseph. The 2nd gen is a beautiful car. The Spyder is... interesting.

BTW, have you looked into SCCA's D Prepared ruleset? I think the Spyder would be competitive there, although I'm not sure if the wing is legal.

See you at NTAXS on the 21st.

Yeah, the Spyder could be competitive in D-Prepared. I would need to replace the wing with one of those nifty spoilers some of the miata's have. I'm considering prepping for it soon. I'll be picking up my 10kg/mm 8kg/mm springs today. Not as stiff as i'd like but at $19/pair I couldn't pass them up (I ordered 4 pairs). So if anyone needs a 60mm diameter 190mm long coilover spring I should have an extra 10/8 stagger unless I decide to run 10k all the way around.
