Here's another low mileage local one - he told me he'd take $3900 cash for it.

Reserve is set at $3950 on the one I posted. Hard top was a major selling point. If bought @ $4000 it would in essence (sp?) be like $3000. Plus the suspension upgrades.......but it would be a CSP car

Don't forget that the original car you mentioned in this thread has no soft top whatsoever. So, if you ditch the hard top you're stuck driving around with no top period.

Although on second thought, that doesn't seem to bother a lot of the crazies on this board. It would bother me, at least on a car that I wasn't going to tow to events. Your mileage may vary.

I'd be more interested in the local silver one with a new glass window soft top. Not only would that be a great basis for an STS2 car, but it's also one you could drive on the street or take to work or whatever, since it has a functioning top and a/c.

I would personally powder coat them. I don't think paint would hold up to high pressure washing and brake dust (imho)

Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

Other not neat deal on the white one is the guy just finished painting the car himself. Very few people can pull this off without it looking like ash.... Plus the early white Miatas had the neat paint peel option, believe Ataim has an example of this in his fleet.

Yes I do indead have the o so cool paint scheme. But stickers do a good job of hiding/enhancing it.

Personally, I think you ought to hold out for this beauty.

Buy it Now for only $13k! What a bargain!

Yeah, but the top alone cost $6000, according to the auction. Money well spent, I'd say. :P

Besides, how often do you come across a car with the rare "perfect 50/50 weight distribution on all 4 corners."

I had some black painted wheels on my car, not done by me, but they were fine with brake dust and washing. I dont use high pressure, so that might be a problem. CM has them now, dont you?

    Yup!

And when I get my bonus checks for this past quarter I'll be putting some nice new tires on 'em.

Gotta decide what to get tho.

BTW: 13k for that car is NUTS!

This is the part when you say you're getting some Azenis and coming out to AX that ride! It's time to stop reading and start driving! :P
