Why is a Texas ID required for a private party sale?
I know there's some gunny's here...
Got a new toy so this gun drew the short straw and has to leave the safe.
Cheap ammo ($10/box @ Academy). Unique. Small enough to conceal if you desire.
The finish is a bit worn, it's not paint but some sort of baked on finish. The leather pouch has seen better days and has been wired a bit (honestly I only use the pouch to hold it in the safe).
Comes with two mags (one is the stamped), 1 box of hollow points, 7 boxes of ball ammo.
I took it to the range this morning and shot 100 rounds through it. No FTE, FTF or any other issues. Cleaned it when I got home and the barrel is still clean :)
$300.
(serial number is there, I just removed it in the photo)

Must be 21+, Texas ID required. Felons need not apply. CHL is nice to have and will make me feel better!

2003 Z06 -- Not a Miata, but 3200# and 400 RWHP is fun

I would guess it is for his protection. With the exception of the first gun I sold, any gun I've bought or sold involved exchanging ID. As far as I know, it is not required by law.
I know a registered/licensed gun dealer selling a pistol may only sell to residents of the same state, but didn't think that applied to private party sales

to verify 21+ and a texas resident.
not required by law, just I don't want some young jackwagon buying my gun to go impress his friends.
