Thread: From Evo to Miata

    Default From Evo to Miata

What's going on guys, my name's Chris. I used to own two evo's actually. I owned an evolution 8 then bought a new evolution 9. I made the switch to the Miata because of the cost effectiveness and because I could now have a truck, trailer, and built miata for the price of just my evo. I paid the evo off a couple of months ago and had already spent almost $45,000 on paying her off plus parts I had already installed. To make her a serious competitor I needed another $10-14k in parts . Now i'm still a full time college student still and was working part time, so most of my money went into my car. So I sold her to get more serious about scca, solo, hpde, and club racing.

I bought my 1990 miata with 63,000 original miles for 3,500 and have parts coming in everyday. I still have yet to buy the cage, seat, and sm suspension however I have mostly everything else. So if anyone has any sm parts they are willing to part with let me know.

A dedicated track car will work out much better in the end, not having to rely on it to get you home after an event is always a relief. See you at the track!

Welcome, have fun with your Miata.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Interesting choice, but I made the same one. I really should make an intro thread.
