My first semester's tuition cost about $2,700 for 12 hours, plus around $400 for textbooks. I lived off-campus in a one-bedroom apartment that cost $650/month, and I drove an Integra that was already paid for. The shuttles were always full, so I ended up spending another $600 per semester for a garage parking permit.

My last semester cost $5,600 for 9 hours. Hurray for cutting funds for higher education and thinking tuition deregulation is the best way to make up the difference.
