Thread: Photochopped New CRX

    Default Photochopped New CRX

Here's some kid over at the AW board's take on a new CRX, based on the Civic Si that was shown at the Detroit show. I find it to be a pretty convincing rendition, but doubt Honda will ever build it.

It looks a lot more Toyota than Honda to me, though...

What a great little car that CRX was... to be replace by the Dull Sole.

If they made that 2nd Gen CRX right now, cleaned up the interior a little, and popped in a 170/180 hp engine, I'd be very tempted to buy one today. It would make a fantastic commuter / daily driver.

That mock-up of the 3rd Gen CRX is interesting, but it lacks the sporty curves of the 2nd Gen. It kinda has a "ubiquitous blob" shape about it. It's not bad, it just doesn't have the flare that the 2nd Gen had. In my opinion anyway....

This is my current "most wanted" commuter car. Per-fect. Esp. love the plastic body panels for parking garage mayhem. Auto tranny is less cool, but for a grocery getter (this one, at least) it would be tolerable.

It's a Smart! And rumor is, they'll be available in the US market soon. Get your name on the waiting list, though...

1742 lbs... MMMMM. Turbo, but yet only 80 hp. I wonder what it would take to turn up the boost?

Don't buy any car that only has 3 lug nuts per wheel. "Le Car"

I think having only three lugnuts per wheel was the least of the Le Car's problems. Did someone say turtle?

Make sure it has a reliable rear window defroster...it'll be a nice handwarmer on those cold days when you're having to push it off the road. :P
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...'Wow! What a ride!'

Well, at least you can go down to the Sears place on Valley View for a replacement motor!
