How about a fly by video, I love the exhaust note of a nice Z.
God I hate the Hipers! Almost as bad as the US-spec tail lights, especially on the yellow Zs.
As much as I'd love another tt, it's one of those "been there, done that" things to meThat one looks awesome though.
Nice looking car. They must be getting harder to find in good condition.

Cool. Always wanted one back in the day. Dated a girl back in 92 who had a new one, thought it was a supercar.

I just need to find a place to pass the inspection,
its got bigger injectors & no cats so i need to get it inspected
Best bet is to drive to POS's house and pull whatever parts you need from one of his cars.
Still, w/o cats, you're likely doomed at any place that even pretends to use the sniffer.

Nope that is bad information.
LinkWhich vehicles are required to have the emissions test?
Vehicles registered in designated counties. Designated counties include: Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, Travis, Williamson and El Paso counties.
I bought a used car that was registered in Parker County. The inspection stations in Cooke county would not inspect the car until I re-registered it in Cooke County. I'm sure you already noticed that the county of registration is printed on the registration sticker.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Just remember the fine for a state inspector that is caught falsifying inspections is $10k and the inspection station can loose their ability to do inspections up to 12 months. So the fact that it won't even pass the visual inspection makes it that much harder for you. Put on some good high flow cats and you won't even notice any reduced performance and you should then be able to pass the test as your car would be put on the dyno. My turbo Miata sat for over two years until I was able to get it to pass inspection...

It might be possible to find a cheap exhaust you can slap on there at a place like Mazda-Nissan Heaven, since 300ZX parts are low-demand items these days.

Yeah i cant even register it, till i get it inspected and get my out of state " green sheet"
ill find a way, im not going to deal with putting cats on, or "re tuning" its already chipped for 93 octane and 550 cc injectors
might take awhile but its not like i dont have my NB as a daily![]()
Why are you so against installing cats if that is all you need to pass inspection? If your car is tuned properly then you should pass with cats. Have you had it tested as is yet to see where you are at? Some stations will do it in training mode so it isn't connected to the states computers so there is no record.
