Any Idea who made the windows?
Mine have a similar issue but it appears the guys who made my windows are long gone...
Our house (~20 yrs old) has aluminum framed windows. There's a small black strip of some sort of weather strip on the bottom sash. (See attached pic) That strip has got crushed over the years and now the windows are drafty.
I tried to pull a strip of it out, but it's sandwiched in the aluminum. Anyone seen this before? How would you go about replacing it?
Thanks in advance!

I've looked all over them and can't find any sign of who made them. I'm sure they are builder grade crap.
EDIT - As a quick fix, I cut some strips of foil-backed bubble wrap (had it laying around) and closed the window
down on it. Made a big improvement!
Look on the latches or even the glass for a name. If you have double pane windows sometimes they put their name on the aluminum strip between the two panes. If there really is no name then yeah cheep builder crap and most likely they are no longer around or won't admit they ever built them. I'd search the web for a universal repair kit.
