You've been to the track but never an autocross? Perfect car to start autocrossing! Have fun with it!
K so ive been a drag/street racer for 19years and the last few years I've cut out the street and moved to the track 100% but now I decided to start autox so I went and got a 90 miata....so what do I need to start having fun? What safety/tech stuff do I need? I wanted to lower it and put some 15s with 205 street tires...cross drilled rotors...intake..exhaust...header maybe I just don't know what I can do to keep me in novice class till I get my times down..thanks

I would suggest doing nothing performance-wise to the car, at first. You will find that autocrossing is much more about skill. However, if you want to make changes, put on some good tires (Star Specs are a good choice and come in both 14" and 15"), and then a bigger front sway bar. Don't bother with the cross-drilled rotors -- you will not be using your brakes that much.
For safety, check for major fluid leaks, remove loose items, remove your floor mats, remove stuff from your trunk, check for loose hub bearings, make sure your battery is secured, and so on. Others can chime in.
This might help you get through your first event, too.
