Thanks guys. Got a lot of advice and support from the TX Region veterans who were there. The competition in STR was exhilarating. Stan and Sue were right on my tail, so I think the class is going to be fun locally as well as at the big events. 5 different cars were among the competitive rides:

    5-speed NC Miata
    6-speed NC Miata
    NB Miata
    S2000 (reg & CR)
    MR Spyder

It definitely looks like the NB is going to be capable of being a lot more competitive than some people thought, especially on a tight course. Sean needs to find a 5-speed for his!

The weather was great! I think that was the first time that I was in the Houston area and thought "they have really nice, mild weather here".

Now the question in the house this week "which setup do we take to MW for the Pro this weekend..."

Foley's car is BSP I think unless something funky has happened. My guess is something to do with Mark's car.

Jeremy entered FP. Jon entered XP. otherwise, they were the only two entered in BSP.

He got protested alleging he was illegal for FP because he didn't have a restrictor in the intake system

PC found him illegal and DSQed him

crappy part is the restrictor is BIGGER than the inlet on his turbo...kinda a BS ruling by the PC IMO...

I believe he's appealing...it's pretty cut and dry. The intent of the inlet restrictor is to restrict the flow. Now whether that's done via inline restrictor or the size of the turbo inlet shouldn't matter. Rotrex uses inlet inserts for restrictors on their SC systems for example.

Nope, I'm done. Only went to this one because because it was a Tour and we could not commit to making Blytheville.

I was a member of the Appeals board up till December 31

I know the Board and their charter and how they will act and I will take bets that he does not get a zero penalty ruling

however, if the logic of the rules is upside down with the reality of the OEM inlet size, they could reduce the severity of the penalty
