    Default PC for Non-Profits

Our agency has a couple of hundred recent vintage PCs (desktop & laptops) along with printers that it is excessing. I believe most of the inventory is Dell/HP.

They are being made available to interested 501(c)(3) non-profits that will use them for training & educational purposes.

If you know of anyone that would be interested they should sent a letter or e:mail to:

    Deborah J. Dunn
    Regional Support Manager
Office of Human Capital Field Support
    Fort Worth Regional Office
    801 Cherry St., Ste 2500, Unit #45
    Fort Worth, Texas 76102
    Fax: 817-978-6008
    Email: [email protected]

The organization’s request needs to state that it is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, how many of what it would like and that it will use the equipment for training/educational purposes.

The organization is responsible for pick-up and transport from our site.

I donated a computer last summer to the National Cristina Foundation: http://www.cristina.org/

    From their website:
"The National Cristina Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to the support of training through donated technology. For more than 25 years we have encouraged companies and individuals to donate computers and other technology coming out of their first place of use, which are then matched to charities, schools and public agencies in all 50 states, Canada, and internationally."

Is there any computer equipment they would want to simply get rid of or stuff that doesn't work anymore? My cousin just started an electronics recycling company and could come pick up anything you have if its enough to warrant him driving to get it.
    Let me know.
    Thanks,
    Luke.

These are all working units 3 or so years old. Our stuff is maintained by LM's technology arm. I understand that non-working equipment is being processed through a recycler. Great opportunity for a non-profit in these tight times.

I forwarded this to my aunt in San Antonio. She works for a non profit teaching center.
