Smile Greetings -- finally owner of a '99 sport

I initially joined up here to post a listing for my S2000, ahead of buying my Cayman S. Then I had something of an incident in my beater and so I figured why not get the car I've wanted for years -- an NB Miata. As it turned out, a friend was selling his '99 sport, in great shape other than some engine trouble, and he offered it to me for a song. I just had it trucked in and it's sitting in the loving hands of Track Dog Racing right now.

Looking forward to getting it into some autocrosses with you guys. My first pic:

Welcome, have fun with your Miata.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I really shouldn't -- it was a friend offering me an exceptionally good deal.

Virginia, but originally a California car (unfortunately). I used DAS to get it down here, about $850 door-to-door.

Welcome and congrats! Had an emerald mica '99 Sport, which I still regret selling. See you at an autocross soon!

Cool, should make for a nice beater. Autocross the Cayman though, much more fun :)

Heh, yeah, I mean I'm still definitely intending to do track days with the Cayman. Autocrosses... I dunno, we'll see. I kind of feel like the Cayman is fantastic "out of the box" on a fast track, but it takes some specific setup to really kick butt in autocross (tends to push, etc.) and not sure I want to bother if I've got the Miata for that.

I definitely owe you at least one car swap lap with the CS at an autocross though. :)
