They missed several opportunities for performance gains with that set up.
1) They should have turned the turbo 90 degrees to create a ram air effect directly into the turbine. This would also negate the increase in wind resistance becasue you are sucking all of that air into the turbo instead of letting it hit the side.
2) they should have just let the exhaust blow right out of the turbo and into the wind. Why add all the extra pluming to mate it to the stock exhaust system. Okay maybee add a small pipe to shoot it straight up into the air.
