No. My Dad always told me that the worst team in baseball would win one third of their games and the best team would lose one third of their games. Its what they do the the third third that counts.

Yup, they are one of the few teams left with a chance at going undefeated this season. I definitely believe they'll do it...

There was a neat story about him on the ESPN Dallas website i think. Rule 5 draft player who is a converted outfielder. Cost them like $12k to draft him away from another team.

Ogando's story is a crazy one, but he's one hell of a find! I think it's safe to say that the Rangers leave no stone unturned when looking for talent...

Soooo... in other news: Rangers lose today... Josh is out 6-8 weeks with a busted arm... Chris Davis to return...

While I'm bummed that Josh is out, it was bound to happen at some point this season, so maybe it's good to get it out of the way early. We'll see if Davis has his shit together this time around. He looked good in spring training and almost made the cut again. Apparently he's been tearing ass down in Round Rock, so let's see if it translates to the big time or if he still has the yips at the plate.

    Thoughts?

Was talking with my friend about this today. I'm very excited to see what Chris can bring to the club. He has a great attitude about being sent back to the minors and hopefully this is the opportunity hes been waiting for where he can prove that he has improved. His defensive skills are fantastic on first and third which deepens this rich lineup even more.

As much as it does suck to lose Josh, I think the Rangers depth will really shine. Murphy will see a lot more playing time, and Moreland will probably pitch in in the outfield duties while Davis is up. Young might see more time in the field due to some domino effect of Hamilton's injury, who knows. Going in to the season I was really concerned with the bottom half of the rotation, but so far Harrison, Oganda, and Holland couldn't be much better on the mound. Webb is supposedly getting close to coming back, but he and Hunter alike will have to earn their way back into the rotation the way these guys have been pitching so far!

I'm just excited to be watching Rangers baseball again! And the way they're playing doesn't hurt either!

Good points. I was really bummed hearing about Hamilton being out and of course, it isn't a good thing but thank goodness we have Murphy and he has been going pretty well when given the chance. It took nelly Cruz a while to become more than just a AAA+ player, so maybe Davis has finally turned the corner. I'd like to see CJ pitching better. Seems like his last two outings he didnt have his good stuff.

Fun Ticket Fact of the Day:

At 11:44 AM yesterday, Chris Davis was talking to Norm Hitzges about the possibility of Rangers' injuries providing him with a chance to jump back up to the bigs and prove himself.

28 minutes later, Josh was in the dugout with a broken arm...
