Thread: Dear female drivers of DFW....

Default Dear female drivers of DFW....

Pay attention to your driving! I have lived in DFW for 25 years and have been rear-ended 4 times including today. Every time I have been hit by a female driver not paying attention. WTF! Luckily, today the car had no front plate or I would have had to file a claim. Are these women so distracted that they cannot tell the car in front of them is not moving?? Do they have trouble with depth perception?? Ok, I feel better now. :)

I work all over the country and can tell you its not just in DFW. Women drivers everywhere tend to follow to close, even if they are not distracted they can not get stopped in time if the traffic has to check up. Generally if a guy is following too close he wants by and is paying attention.

It's so simple all they gotta do is follow the 3 second rule!

Glad you and your car are OK!

I thought I had good luck with respect to collisions but last weekend washing the car I found three new paint scuffs and cracks from three different cars. This in addition to the SUV-shaped dent two inches into the top of the trunk that I noticed a few months ago. So far I've only been backed into, but this is getting annoying. I think i'm going to buy one of those orange go cart flags to put on my antenna.

It's not just women. Most people are terrible drivers. Women might be more distracted on the road, but men are often too aggressive. And they all drive vehicles that are too big. Everyone tailgates, no one signals. It's a obliviously narcissistic, me-first kind of world out there.
Oh, well I've got two sevens, and two sevens beats a frush.

I usually pump the brakes when I'm slowing or stopping. Not to get the old master cylinder working, but to flash the brake lights just to get the next person's attention. Too many folks seem to be interested in doing everything but driving when they're on the road.

Doing this has saved me from being rearended several times. I'm sure of it.

We need some of those flashing brake lights. I love the 3-stage turn signals on the new Mustangs.

I modded my center brake light so it flashes a few times, but occasionally I still have to pump the brakes to get the person's attention.

Also, while we're at it, can we please put an end to women's suffrage?

In before the token female members get on their kitchen-based interwebs to complain...

When I was living in DFW, I was hit three times by women drivers. One sideswipe, one rearend, and one backed into me in a turn lane (wut??). Austin drivers.... I haven't decided yet. Sometimes I miss DFW traffic because they at LEAST acted like they had someplace to be!

    Dear MALE drivers of DFW...

QUIT HITTING ME! I have been rearended TWICE by MALE drivers in LARGE vehicles NOT paying attention. BOTH times I was stopped in traffic! I don't care HOW BADLY you want by - pushing me out of the way is NOT the answer. ALSO, if I am in the SLOW lane, I have EVERY RIGHT to drive 10 over the speed limit and be moving PLENTY fast enough for the lane I'm driving in - YOU move over, don't expect ME to move over. And you MALE drivers in the BIG trucks that THINK you can bully me...you're in for a big surprise.....I'm not easily intimidated. BUT for the record, I have to state that JEFFMAN is one of the MOST courteous drivers I've seen. :p
