Bolt holes look the same to me why not go to O'reilly and look at them both and compare them.![]()
I picked up a 2001 header, recently. All I still need is the gaskets, and then I can do the swap. The gasket between the head and the manifold/header is listed as the same for both the 99 manifold and 01 header, so no problem there. The gasket between the header/manifold and exhaust pipe is listed differently for the '99 (http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...L0/EG24921.oap) and '01 (http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/FEL0/61327.oap) on the O'reilly site, which confuses me a bit. It doesn't look like the bolt holes on the gaskets are in the same place, which would mean that the swap isn't as drop-in as I originally thought.
Am I looking at the wrong gasket(s)?
Thanks

Good stuff here - http://www.peatpics.com/gallery2/mai...2_itemId=29359
The 01 gasket has all three holes equidistant, the 99 has different spacing between one pair, judging from the picture. That is what is confusing me.
Good idea - I'll take the new manifold and see which fits.why not go to O'reilly and look at them both and compare them.![]()
