Thanks again everyone for coming out. Hope everyone had a great time!

Big thanks to Terry Fair and Vorshlag for donating to the prize fund, and thanks to goofygrin for helping me set up the final race grid positions. I appreciate everyone's help!

I'm looking at setting up another event out there either July 23rd or 30th. This one should be even more fun - more sponsors, more prizes, and one of yesterday's racers (who cooks for several NASCAR teams) has offered to tow his smoker out with some brisket for a nominal donation.

I'll post up a new thread and start an entry list as I nail down some details!

I've had several requests for a Sunday event, so I'm evaluating it for the next one...

Big shout out to Iain for setting up this event. What a blast!

    VIDEOS

I'm still working on editing and uploading the massive video file McCall shot of Race Group 1 (the championship race) + the re-running of Race Group 3 that I shot.

    PICTURES

We only got pictures from one practice session and two race groups (group 2 & 3), so if we didn't get you - sorry. Next time we'll try to bring someone just to shoot video and pictures. Trying to do that + drive the karts was hectic.

I was glad Amy and I could qualify for the main "Group 1 race", having never been to DKC before and not having done karts in years. I qualified 5th with a 74.063 and Amy qualified 8th with a 74.248. In the actual race I got a "less than stellar" kart (#13) and finished mid-pack, with Amy right behind me. A little sore the next day, and she had some impressive bruises on her rib cage, but that was too much fun - can't wait to do it again!

Congratulations to the three race group winners! Each one got a DKC trophy, Vorshlag hat and Vorshlag/AST polo FTW.

It was good seeing so many DFW racers show up to this event. We've got to do this again!

    Until next time,
    Terry Fair @ Vorshlag Motorsports

In the interest of accuracy, I did manage to hold your wife off and maintain 6th in the champion ship race, right behind you. I think all three of us finished where we started - not that your wife didn't try her damndest to pass me!

I am playing at Augie's Sunset Cafe on Eagle Mountain Lake from 2-6 every Sunday except this Sunday, I am playing on the 4th which is a Monday.
I also play every other Wednesday (including today) at Lake Weatherford Marina from 6-9

Sorry Billy - looks like the next event is going to be on a Sunday. I'll announce more details once we've got everything firmed up.

Nope. It'll be near the end of July. More details in the next week or two.

Iain already opened, and six hours later closed due to being full, registration for the July event. Sheesh!
