Default 92 Turbo Miata For Sale : $2,000 OBO

92 Miata, Yellow, 200k miles, Flyin' Miata turbo kit, front mount, 500cc Injectors, tuned Link standalone ECU, LSD. Makes 180whp at 9lbs of boost. $2k or best offer.

    but there's a catch...

Let's start with the back story. I have a 90 Miata that has been running the above-mentioned turbo kit, etc. for about 25,000 miles without a single problem. It hauls ass. It is tuned well (albeit a bit rich) and it makes 180whp. This translates to a Miata that will out accelerate an s2000, 350z, etc. But that wasn't enough so I bought a bigger turbo kit and a different ECU and removed the Flyin' Miata kit from my 90. I then bought a 92 junker Miata and started to install the old Flyin' Miata kit on it, the plan being that one Miata would be my track car and one would fun for my 3 mile commute.

    then reality set in...

Last weekend I started with the installation and I came to a very important conclusion: I hate working on cars in the heat and I'd rather spend my weekends hanging out with my wife. So as it sits, I have a 92 Miata with a partially installed Flyin' Miata Turbo Kit and I simply have lost all desire to continue working on this car (heck, I barely want to work on my other Miata), so I'm selling it. The car needs to be put back together.

As it sits, you will need to plug in the ECU and make the necessary wire conversions (three wires total), add in the map sensor convertor box (it bolts in to the factory MAF sensor plug, bolt down the engine mounts, bolt on the downpipe, connect the oil drain lines for the turbo, add fluids, and start it up. The turbo kit and manifold are installed, the charge pipes are connected, the front mount is connected, etc. There is no reason it shouldn't fire right up.

The car itself is a turd. The previous owner gave it a crappy yellow paint job, an even crappier body kit, and an even crappier still set of 17 inch wheels. It has 200k miles but it runs well. It has the normal old bushings and whatnot that you'd expect from an old car. It has KYBs and some el cheapo coilovers. The cloth top has recently been replaced and has rear glass instead of the plastic. It has a new battery as well. The body kit and lame yellow paint job is a real shame because it probably looked pretty decent before it got the ricer treatment. The interior is partially painted yellow (things like the gauge hood and console trim) and it has the world's crappiest "racing" seats. The car needs some TLC and a bit of time put into it and, again, I have lost interest.

Now, I acknowledge that there is risk associated with a car that you can't test drive before you buy it. A few people on here have bought stuff from me and sold stuff to me, and a ton of people on the Honda forums can vouch for me as well. But most importantly, I'm easy to find. I've lived at the same address for a while and I've worked at the same office for even longer, so I'm not going anywhere. I'll happily give you a copy of my DL or whatever makes you comfortable. Plus, I work at a law firm so and I understand how badly I can get jacked up if I mislead you in any way about the car, hence my candor in describing the less awesome parts. The car is registered in my name so there will be no nonsense there.

Call me at four zero seven-272-forty three twenty one if you're interested. Thanks.

Sorry for the jumbled text. I did have spaces but the text editor disagreed with me.

I still don't understand if you have one car or two. I also didn't see colors or miles listed.

Super. Thanks for doing that. Now it's even harder to read. The miles were listed but I did forget the color. I added both to the top of the post. If you can't decipher how many cars I have or which one is for sale, I'd say that's not anything that better distribution of text can address.

Car was sold yesterday. Bigsrturbo, thanks for posting pointless nonsense. I expect this kind of bullshit from Honda-tech but not a forum like this.
