I'm planning on it although, as mentioned I am gonna try to just supervise and offer my vast mechanical knowledge. Usually I say that and then I get my hands dirty.

Shiner and/or Dr. Pepper works for me.

...and hoping someone will bring a welder.

I'll likely arrive around 6:30, unless we go to church, then I won't be there until 7:30 or so.

Do you have new inner/outer shifter boots? Chances are that's the source of heat.

yes, my boots may need attention... but running without a console, like I do, reveals the whole tunnel gets hot....

If the boots are torn, that may solve most of the problem and more than insulating with torn boots. We stock them at TDR.

    Alright!

that was fun... MANY thanks to Awdiee, TexasStig, and Snowdoggie<< without whom, the project would have stopped at 9:30, instead running till 3am.... Thank you guys again, i could not have accomplished as much as we did.

    What we did get done...

-motor mounts, both sides, with removal of the header.
-full brake job, including new pads, SS lines, DOT 4 fluid, and one new caliper... oh, and 3 new bleeder screws(this is where Snowdoggie saved the day, driving 50+miles to Dallas to pick up $4.50 worth of parts, at 9pm!!!
-race seat and harness install adjusted and finished (no more dish towel padding for me!!)
    -window sliders lubed
    -and some other little things

Thanks again to all those who showed, and the guys that wanted too... you guys rock!

hopefully I'll be at Kellers this week, gotta wait for the schedule...
