    Default Separation Anxiety

My daughter, an only child, is getting married soon. She has pretty much completed her move out of my home. I have helped as much as an old man can. It hurts in more ways than one. I have no doubt she is doing what is right for her and enjoy her excitement, but that doesn't make it less painful.

Today, I dropped off my '90 with a local, well respected Miata tech. I have every confidence in his qualifications to do the maintenance and upgrades undertaken. When I get it back in a couple of days it will sport a new timing belt, water pump, accessory belts, an M-Tuned Coolant re-route and an honest to goodness water temp gauge. The shifter will have been refreshed with new bushings and spacers and new boots to keep heat and odor out of the cabin, and the gear box will have fresh fluid to hopefully extend the life expectancy of it's fun little five notcher.

    I miss my girls.

After all is done, I will thank him publicly. Meanwhile, he may be working on my car instead of yours and no need on my part to have others pressure him to move priorities around. He is a busy guy! Thanks for the well wishes.

Since you're on the west side, hopefully it's Rogue at Miata Solutions.

A bit of an update. Got my baby back today. Rogue was in fact the tech referred to and he did some good work. Watching water temp measured right off the back of the engine is almost scary stuff. I saw some 230 degree water being sent to the radiator on the drive home in 107 degree heat. I am happy to have my car back and pleased with the outcome of the mod. Another "Thank You, Stevan!" and who knows, I may even see my daughter before the wkend is over.

My mom is having separation anxiety with me being more than 20 miles away right now.

You probably saw my 92 there at Rogue's as well... hopefully it wasn't in pieces

    Stevan does great work.

I did see something yellow just inside the door. Looking forward to seeing that finished project. I am sure you are too!

That wasn't mine, but from what I've heard that one should be quite impressive when it rolls out

Anyone else notice the spelling, hence the definition, of preying? Good things take a little longer. Really good things take Rogue a little longer. The result is worth the wait.

Nice catch... It started as a typo, but I laughed when I read it so decided to leave it. I know it will be worth the wait, and I told Stevan that I was willing to wait for his quality of work. I do razz him from time to time though.
