    Default Checking in

Hey ! How's life treating everyone ? I'm checking in seeing what is going on , Since I have not been active on the board since I moved to Salt Lake City in the spring. I've been doing pretty good. I did consider selling my Na about 2 months ago after my son was born , But after being listed for sale for 3 days I decided I couldn't part with it. I've found a couple canyon roads that are pretty fun to use for spirited driving. I have a trip planned in 12 days to goto Bonneville Salt Flats which should be fun, I'll remember to take some pics and post them on here for you guys . The Miata club around here is really different. They do not autocross, time attacks, or do track days. They rather sit at Starbucks and talk about their new chrome accessories so I don't associate with them.

Here's some pics of the road I usually drive the Na on (going the speed limit of course)

On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

The club there reminds me of one that once was big here in the Lone Star state. Went from wine and cheese to whine and jeez... Then, many of us went away. You are in a beautiful part of the world. Hang on to that NA. It was born for that countryside.

The harley riders are insane here they will drag knee on the back roads around here !

I've only seen 1 Miata in the canyon other than mine it was some stupid ricer kid with illest and fatlace decals plastered on his NA. He had a few tasteless mods done to it 17" Axis wheels, Chrome Style bar for roll protection, And he topped it all off with a carbon fiber fart can from Pepboys. The retard was riding my bumper for a few miles and would get next to me ever chance and try to start a race. Finally he was next to me at the last red light on the road that leads into the canyon revving his engine so I put my top down so I could intimidate him with the help of my Harddog roll bar. I said do you really want to get embarrassed You can obviously see I have a real roll bar and I'm lowered that should make you think maybe hes got some work down under the hood too. He stopped revving his engine. When the light turned green he changed lanes and got behind me the decided to ride my bumper so I downshift and took advantage of the coilovers After a few turns he had disappeared from my rearview. I guess he couldn't hang with me, I wasn't even going that fast either . Once I got to the the ski resort at the end of the canyon road I turned around and headed back down. I passed him going West and he was a still 3 miles from the ski resort. A few days later I was at the gas station and he pulled up asking what I had done to my car to make it so quick in the corners. I told him knowing how to drive is the first step

I'm uploading the pics now so they should be posted in a little bit. Bonneville does have a speedlimit of 65 which I was informed of after I was kindly told to get off of the prepped track . They had caught me driving at 127mph on it lol ! With no signage how was I supposed to know....

128mph flyby on the prepped salt, after this pass I was told I was not allowed to be on the prepped salt without a permit.
So I gladly left an went to the public salt.

around 20seconds you can see the miata as a dark spec towards the center of the screen

Very cool video. Love the sky and the sound of you passing. Wish the camera was on a tripod.

The weather was great, The weather forecast was calling for rain. I had my friend take the video with my digital camera. I never thought about bringing the tripod. I learned 1 thing today, Instead of buying a wrangler this spring I may look into Forced induction .
