EXTREMELY fair. Came by to have my car checked out... was suffering from overheating problems... So I asked him point blank.... If I give you this $250 will my car run? He said yes. So he orders a part... it takes around 3 hours to get the part there.... apparently the wrong part was brought to them so they had to resend for it. After 3 hours of... sadly watching the same movie twice.... but still enjoying free sodas and a purchased ice cream.... he drives my car around. I pay the bill, and go out to drive it. It ran great, no overheating.... Now here's the kickers... and these are the reasons you should bring your car to Russel.... I turned the windshield wiper fluid on... and it worked... granted the wiper fluid was years old and filthy because it hadn't been used in forever... it still shot out and did it's job. I was very happy to see this. The next day .... I turn on my A/C expecting a normal fan to blow without cold air.... and BAM! cold air hits my face. I am shocked since I was quoted a price without having the A/C repaired. So I drive back to the shop and I ask Russel why he didn't charge me for the A/C repair. And this is what he said.... "I put an air compressor hose against your A/C and blew out tons of grime and dirt and now it's good as new." Russel WANTS to fix your car. Firestone WANTS to take your money. Firestone was ready to charge me $800 to fix my A/C. Russel did it without even telling me about it on my receipt because it was such a simple job he did it for free. The next time your car is having problems... take it to Russel. I guarantee he will diagnose it properly and find the best way to fix the problem ON YOUR BUDGET! He knew I was hurting for cash and found the cheapest method to properly fix my problem. I have been taking my cars to him ever since, and I would recommend him to ANYONE!"

Those prices for recycled parts seems pretty high but if the shop is quoting it and USAA is paying for it I wouldn't consider it a huge deal.

I was wondering.... do I get to keep my old parts? It looks like the bumper cover would be sell-able for at least $50 if not $100.... even in it's current condition.
Aftermarket add-ons can be swapped back with originals but the Insurance co will want the whole car. You can remove incidentals like floor mats, wind blockers, etc... and be okay. As for parts replaced by a body shop, you can ask to hold onto the old parts. Unless they recycle them they probably won't have an issue with it.
I do get to keep the old parts! Fantastic. That means I have a trunk lid + assembly, tail light with small crack in it, tail light with broken lens, scraped side running lights, Miata emblem (the one that says MIATA), miata icon that's broken in half (probably keep this for a keepsake), rear bumper assembly + bumper for sale. That should make me quite a bit! I would guess I could get $400 for all of that.
I hate to say it.... but it looks like this accident was a really good thing! I get the minor imperfections fixed on my rear bumper... And I make $400!
Also found a white miata with a red/black decal down the middle of it driving on 820 today. It looked familiar, I think I had seen him on this website before. Wonder who he was! I drove behind him for 10 miles, we looked pretty cool.
A terrible parking job I know, the thing is enormous. My rental for the next few days, planning on changing it when they get other cars in. It's nice to be able to drive over ANYTHING. Speed bumps are nothing in this truck. In my Miata I avoid speed bumps like the plague, and when I have to I do 5 MPH.
It is very nice to be driving around in a $60,000 truck. Smooth ride, less than 1500 miles...
Did they give you 2 of them? Those things go for like $29k.
