A wonderful Game 3 win. Time for the boys to wrap up the ALDS!

What a game last night. I held on and watched til the end. I'm amazed they got out of the top of the 5th. Was that the longest inning in history due to rain delays?

What a game! Looks like Nellie got his swing back!!!!![]()
Gotta say, I was a bit peeved when they had the bases loaded in the 10th and no joy. Hats off to DET for extending the game the extra inning.
Although we did win, I haven't seen "daring Wash" much this year and I don't know whether I like it or not. The Rangers have lost so much in the past using the station-to-station strategy. I guess it's the difference between thinking you could win it and knowing you can win it. Good thing I'm not a manager I guess.
Regards.
How many more times can Michael Young ground the first pitch to shortstop?![]()
Well, some of the guys shaved their Amish Abe Lincoln playoff beards, so maybe that'll break the jinx tonight...

BTW, and this is totally unrelated to the Rangers, but who else thought Terry Francona kicked ass in the booth next to Joe Buck? Tim McCarver just sucks the life force out of me... dear god.

Nellie is Mr. Clutch in the outfield and in the batters box!
^The shaving of the beard seemed to help Michael Young a bit tonight.
As much as I wanted to see us pound the Yanks again, this is a much more well-matched series. Los Tigres give me tight-butt...

This has ben the most exciting series I can remember. And yes, I agree 100% on the Francona versus McCarver thing.
Am I just being a homer or does anyone else get the impression Buck and McCarver REALLY want Detroit to win?
Detroit would prolly get better national ratings than Texas. That, and it's crystal clear that McCarver knows NOTHING about anything that happened in baseball after 1980. I want to throw a shoe at my TV every time he makes a friggin' Honus Wagner or Rollie Fingers reference.

I'm a little worried about Saturday. I assume Holland is pitching. I hope the good Holland shows up because I would be really worried about Colby "Let me serve up 10 BP tater balls" Lewis pitching in a winner take all game.
I read a report on ESPN Dallas stating the Rangers are apparently going to throw a "Boatload" of $$$ at CC Sabathia during the off-season.
Yeah I'm worried about Dutch too. I think he's due for a good outing, but then I thought the same thing about CJ yesterday...
I wonder about the CC rumor... would we sign him in lieu of CJ as our ace?

McCarver cracked me up yesterday. He was obviously reading a stat that had been printed on a card, so he read it through, then promptly repeated the entire 7-10 second spiel. I could just imagine Buck hitting him like an old Jukebox to keep him from skipping again. I agree Alan, it seems like the whole broadcast and even national media are just hating on the Rangers.
On the CC thing, I assume it's in lieu of CJ re-signing. I just keep reading over and over about how it is just expected that Wilson will jump at whatever money the Yankees throw at him. Almost like there is some inside source that knows CJ has this fascination of playing for the Yankees.
On the favortism to the Tigers: It also irked me that Buck made the comment about how if the breaks went Detroit's way instead, they would be leading this series. I dont recal in any of the Rangers' wins them being due to lucky breaks or bounces. Seemed like during the ALDS it was all about the Rays being Cinderellas and now in the ALCS it's the Tigers bandwagon.
