"Buddies" 06 miata cel 128

I know its been a long time (Like since Mrs. Monkey trashed the timing light) but a "buddy" of mine has a 06 miata thats giving a CEL 128 code. Any idea what it could be?

If it's P0128 it means the engine is slow, or failing, to reach operating temperature. This is likely due to a faulty thermostat. I got this code once while out at Deals Gap but haven't got it again so I did nothing. However if it returns or persists I will replace the thermostat with a factory switch, not aftermarket since they can still stick open.
