    What no Hankook RS3s? Bummer.
I did have the EVO V12 on my MS3, very sticky but only lasted 18k.

Oh Bummer. I did not read the mail in form. I knew some people needed autocross tires and thought this might help.

18K is pretty good I think. Tire Rack has the same rebates.

V12's are a great street tire that has some performance characteristic. I'd agree that 18K is good for a MS3, or any powerful FWD car. I have yet to find a tire that will get more than about 20-25K and have good grip/performance characteristics. Anything over 15K is fine by me, especially for the price they ask for Kooks.

If 30K+ miles from your tires is a priority, look to touring or all-season tires, not summer/max-performance tires. Probably want a UTQG Rating over 400.

The fact that the V12 is quiet and good in the wet and can be had for under/at $100 each in a 255/17 makes them almost unbeatable.

I don't consider it a competitive autox tire, but I am sure it would be fine for someone who wants to autox once in a while without buying dedicated tires. I saw several guys running them on their Porsche's at the MSR TT with good results.

I had a set o the bridgestone pole position re-960 that lasted 30k or so fairly decent dry grip and good wet traction. The cons were that they were a bit more than then the v12 and a little noisy buy all in all an awesome street tire. Put a set on my moms Avalon and it's tip-toeing towards 40k with 7/32nds left and a co workers sister rolled over 60k on her mustang!!!

The RE-050's that came with the car lasted 30k. But ....
    I didn't drive the 1st 20k.
They cost almost twice what the V12's cost.
