When you were there, did you get to meet Mr. Low? He opened the 2F section for us and also the Chaparral shop. There are more photos here.
The 2J just got out of the shop. It was repaired and repainted after its trip to Goodwood.

Great pics! So was the number 1 car with the wing real high up the one that was adjustable by the driver or was it the number 7 with the low but very large wing? Where is this museum?
There are two Number 7's. One is a, the?, 2D and its wing is not adjustable by the driver. It has a P on the side. It is powered by a 327 cid Chevy. The other Number 7 is the 2H, its wing is not adjustable by the driver. It had up to a 465 cid Chevy engine. Number 1 is the 2F, its high wing is adjustable. It has a Chaparral automatic transmission so the driver uses his left foot on a pedal to adjust the wing. It has an aluminum 427 cid Chevy.
The Chaparral Gallery is part of the Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas.
The "car" that the Mrs. and I are sitting in is a replica of a 2E. There are 7 Chaparrals in the gallery and they are insured for $40 million. The 2J along is insured for $10.5 million.
