I wouldn't dig a hole and throw dirt on ya, might try to spend ya though...lol

I will check the other place mentioned above have not checked them yet.

As I mentioned before I really dont have a baseline for what to expect out of factory shocks and springs but I wouldnt doubt that mine are still good...That being said I will be getting rid of my old shocks, springs.

and eventually exhaust, midpipe. (thats the next project after this)

the car has a touch over 40k so the parts are still good, cept I dont know about the springs and shocks.
I mention this in case someone might need any of this stuff I will be taking off.

I look forawrd to meeting you guys at Mineral Wells.

With a sales pitch like that who wouldn't want to buy your worn out junk!

Springs may have a bit of life left in them, I have just at 160,000 miles on my springs on my ‘92, the shocks and boots have been replaced, but she still has the original springs.

hhmmm, I didn't mention anything about selling them

I figured if anyone needed them that came out to help with the install of the new shocks, springs, I would give them to them.

Actually, POS is more "the glass is always half full, but how can I weasel out of paying for the half I already drank?" kind of guy. :P

Billy, a quick visual inspection of the boots (you may have to remove the wheels to get a good look at them) should tell you what kind of condition they're in. If they're torn or dry-rotted, they should be replaced. At 40k miles though, I would expect them to be fine - my spare set have 60-70k on them, and they're in great shape, and the set currently on the car has over 90k on them.

On my 99, with around 60k miles at the time of the shock change, I did not replace the boots, they looked fine.

LOL I thought that would get a rise out of you.

I went ahead and bought some new ones if they are still good I will just keep em, or give them to someone else that needs them.

Should have them Monday, then I just need the springs.

I have talked my wife into letting me get the exhaust header and midpipe and thats about all she's gonna let me do this year after the springs and shocks.

Does that mean I just have to get parts she cant see?...LOL

    No,

It means you'll have to siphon off cash... Send in Money Orders to pay... and have stuff sent to a friend's house instead of your home.

OK I should have the Springs this weekend.
I am planning on doing everything (shocks springs) the weekend of the 23rd, Sat or Sun whichever is more convenient for the people who will be helping me.
I am planning on doing it here....

If someone has some Spring comressors I could borrow that would be a big help.

Also I have 4 jackstands, 2 jacks, shocks, dustboots, and Springs...food and beverages.
Is there anything else I need?
Also I would like to thank all who help in advance, I am totally lost otherwise.

As that weekend draws near I will also post specific directions. I will need to know what everyone would like to drink and eat too.
    Thanks again.
