    Default 99 NB Mid Pipe / Fit 90 1.6 Miata ?

Replaced my mid-pipe this morning, trying to help a friend out who owns a 90 NA, and seeing if this would bolt on to his 90, i know the hangers are in different spot but would this bolt up or have to be welded?

either way he is on an original cat from 90 that's buzzing around making noise. i don't see how his car passes inspection every year but the cat is definitely shot and i have no use for this midpipe with a new cat, b/c the NB keeps throwing a PO420 with it on. i put on an OEM mid-pipe.

Exhaust from NA to NB is completely different. NB cat is integrated into the midpipe, and on the NA, the cat has flanges on either side connecting to the midpipe and header.

Actually the early cars often have a welded in cat and mostly one piece exhaust. Either way, no, NA and NB exhaust are not swapable without lots of modification.
