Default OEM and aftermarket NC Sway Bar Rates

    Hey everyone,

I am looking for some miata based help for my S2000. Essentially the S2000 can use a NC front sway bar as a softer rear sway bar.

However, I am having a hard time locating the rates of the various sway bars.

So far all I know is that the OEM Soft top NC front bar is around 130 lbs/in, and that the Hard top bar is stiffer, but not by how much.

If anyone has this sort of info and would share it with me I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

There's a thread on Miata.net concerning this....if you can't find it I'll look when I get home tonight.

Did some math. Holding the other measurements constant, the hardtop bar's increased diameter of 22mm equates to a 16-17% increase in stiffness.

Lol. I’ve been looking at the same thing. Which reminds me…

If anyone has a factory ‘06+ NC soft top front sway bar they want to part with, please send me an email at [email protected]. Thanks!

FYI - they are $66 for the softtop bar through Mazdaspeed Motorsports and $77 for the PRHT version. Partsgroup probably sells them even cheaper. Also, check with JimH and Sammm

This will make you TCB guys cringe.

I gave my bars away for FREE.

MER might have a truck load of them.

I ended up buying one from partsgroup.com. It was $48 shipped, with brackets and bushings.

    Thanks for the link Mike!
