Very cool Dougie! Keep the pics coming!
We are at the Texas Mile at Chase Field near Beeville. There are a lot of neat bikes, neat rider and neat cars. Fastest speed we didn't see, we were at the start line, was 233 mph and change by this lady. The '63 Grand Sport went about 160 mph. Remember, this is the first of three days of competition.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

We are at the finish line. Already 2 cars over 250 mph. And a VW golf at 151 mph.

For Robert, painter's tape will stay on at 183 mph. I saw it happen on a GTR.

That was the first car through the finish when we got there Sunday morning. It's amazing that after a while a car going by at 160 to 170 just doesn't seem all that fast.
IIRC, the LMR Camaro had three runs over 250 mph. We will see for sure when the results are posted.
Even Ms. Cone enjoyed the event. We meet a lot of nice people and saw a lot of great cars. I didn't really count, but I think at least half the cars were Corvettes.
I'm definitely going to try to register for the Oct. event. I think the cap is 200 drivers. I'm sure I can beat the New Beetle Diesel's 90 mph for the mile.
Most people had left by late Sunday afternoon, so the few cars left were almost hot lapping the mile.

I like the video of the Camaro losing his shit, then one-hand pimp steering it back into shape. What a tard.
